What Are The 8mm Corrugated Plastic Sheets?
The 8mm corrugated plastic sheet is the engineering-grade thickness in our product line. It can be truly called “structural” – 1000+ kg/m² static load, enough for permanent pallets, structural partitions, and load-bearing supports. It is much lighter than steel and plywood, and it’s waterproof and requires zero maintenance.
If you need to use it in heavy-duty industrial applications that need to last for years, it may a right choice for you. Made from 100% virgin polypropylene with UV stabilizers and high-impact modifiers, it’s widely used for packaging, layer pads, turnover boxes, outdoor signs, and some special requirements.
Choose The Perfect 8mm Corrugated Plastic Sheets
8mm corrugated plastic sheet has many kinds of applications for you to choose. Here are some of the common types we have.

General logistics turnover boxes and packaging boxes are made of correx boards. It is neither too thin and easy to bend nor too thick and not easy to fold.

Corrugated PP sheets can be directly used for layer pads and partitions. The most common is for the storage and transportation of bottled or canned products.

Many urban streets have also begun to use the PP corrugated sheets as yard signs. Because of their waterproof, moisture-proof, UV-proof, and corrosion-resistant properties, they are especially suitable for outdoor use.

The 8mm PP hollow board can also be used for many industries, more functions can be customized according to your requirements.
Key Features of 8mm Corrugated Plastic Sheet

It weighs about 2kg per square meter, while 3mm steel plate weighs about 23kg, which is 90% lighter.

PP material will not rust, does not require painting maintenance, and has a longer service life than steel plates.

It will not crack under heavy loads and extreme low temperature environments.

The single use cost of 8mm corrugated plastic sheets is only 1/5 of that of steel plates.
Cross Ribbed Sheets designed for 8mm corrugated plastic sheets
We designed cross-ribbed sheets for 8mm corrugated plastic sheets. Advantages of Cross-Ribbed Sheets (compared to H-shaped structure):
- Higher compressive strength: There are cross-shaped reinforcing bars inside the T-shaped board, forming multiple triangular supports.
- Better flexural rigidity: It has support in both vertical and horizontal directions, greatly improving the flexural section modulus of the board.
- Better impact resistance: The cross ribbed structure can effectively absorb and disperse impact forces, it is uneasy to break or puncture.
- Better flatness: The symmetry of the cross-ribbed structure makes the stress distribution of the board more uniform and the warpage rate lower during the cooling process.

Rich experience in material substitution and system solution capability
Purepack has years of experience in alternative solutions. We have large quantities of tests on various scenarios, including replacing 9mm plywood with 8mm corrugated plastic sheets and 12mm MDF with 8mm PP. Each alternative plan will provide material comparison data – bending strength, weight, cost, expected life – for you to judge whether to replace it or not.
The continuous production tolerance of the 8mm sheet is controlled within ± 0.3mm. When switching between H-type and cross-ribbed sheets on the same production line does not require changing the mold, and the switching time is about 40 minutes. The flame retardant, anti-static, and UV-resistant materials are mixed into the resin before extrusion and will not affect the dimensional accuracy of the board due to functional modification.
Why You Choose Purepack?

Purepack’s 8mm corrugated plastic sheets adopt a cross-ribbed structure, with compressive strength 2-3 times that of H-shaped sheets of the same thickness. At a density of 1100-2000 gsm, their bending stiffness is equivalent to 9mm plywood and can directly replace pallet panels. We solve the industry problem of 8mm board warping through a 96-hour stress relief process to ensure flatness. The double-sided corona discharge has a stable Dain value of 50+, supports precision machining, and has a cutting edge smoothness of Ra ≤ 6.3 μ m. Flame retardant modification provides V-0/V-1/V-2 grade options, and UV-resistant modification can extend outdoor life to 2-4 years.
In addition, we have 16 production lines to ensure sufficient production capacity and on-time delivery, as well as the advantage of raw material origin, allowing you to buy higher quality at a lower price.
Cases of Our 8 mm Corrugated Plastic Sheet
2mm Corrugated plastic sheets are used widely. Here are some of our cases:

An American outdoor advertising company installed 8 x 4-foot promotional signs along the highway. Previously, a 6mm board was used, but the surface was bent by the wind; After switching to our recommended 8mm corrugated plastic sheets, the bending stiffness of the cross-ribbed structure is three times that of 6mm, and it can withstand wind speeds of 120km/h. A single 8 × 4-foot board weighs about 8 pounds, which is only 15% heavier than a 6mm board, but its wind resistance is doubled. After 2 years of use, there have been no complaints of surface bending or tearing.

The customer is an export company that often uses packaging boxes. They have previously used cardboard boxes with high damage rates, and replacing them with wooden boxes is too heavy. So they changed to packaging boxes made of 8mm corrugated plastic sheets, with a double-layer 8mm bottom structure (total thickness 16mm) and a load-bearing capacity of over 1000kg/m ². PP material is completely waterproof and mold-proof. The whole box weight is 70% lighter than wooden boxes, and the single-use cost is reduced by 67%.

Testimonials
8mm sheet is 33% thicker than 6mm corrugated plastic sheet, it is about 200% more stiffness and load-bearing capacity. This makes 8mm suitable for structural applications that 6mm cannot handle.
Yes. 8mm corrugated plastic sheets are UV stabilized as standard. They will not yellow or become brittle for at least 60 months of outdoor exposure. The extreme thickness also helps the sign stand up in hurricane-force winds without bending, making it suitable for large corrugated plastic signs.
The weight of a 48×96 inch 8 mm corrugated plastic is around 8-9 pounds, with a density of between 1100 and 2000 gsm. It is 30% heavier than a 6mm corrugate plastic sheet, but one person can also easy to handle it.
