Choose The Perfect Polypropylene Sheet Solution
We have many kinds of polypropylene sheets for customers. Some of the common types our customers use are as follows:

PP sheet withstands acid and alkali environments and resists most chemical components, so it is suitable for waste gas emission systems, wastewater treatment, and other environmental protection equipment.

The material used to line an electroplating tank is decided by the electrolyte involved, and it has to have corrosion resistance and temperature resistance. We supply the PP panels for electroplating and pickling tanks, together with matching welding rods.

Mechanical grade PP sheet has high impact resistance and friction resistance, is not easy to deform or crack, and is dedicated to machining parts used in machinery, pump and valve components, and processing equipment.

The color, width, length, size, weight, packing, and processing of PP plastic sheets can all be customized. We provide die-cutting, CNC engraving, bending, welding, printing, and attachment, and can ship the finished part ready for assembly.
Different Types of PP sheets
We have several colors of polypropylene sheets for sale, the common colors such as polypropylene sheet white, black, red, green, yellow, and ohter colors can be customized as your demand. Large polypropylene sheet, polypropylene sheets 4×8 are the common size, and other size can also be customized.

Key Features of PP Plastic Sheets

PP sheet exhibits excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts and most chemicals commonly used in industrial and daily applications.

PP sheet offers high impact strength, making it a popular choice for manufacturing pump and valve parts, processing equipment components, and electronic parts.

The melting point is 154-170°C, and the Vicat softening temperature is 140-150°C. So it is stable in hot chemical liquid tanks and hot food processing equipment.

PP board has outstanding electrical insulating properties, which makes it suitable for use in humid environments as an electrical insulator.

PP boards are easy to process. We provide custom cutting, CNC machining, welding, bending, thermoforming, fabrication, and assembly.

Polypropylene sheet is food-grade safe and suitable for food processing, packaging, and storage due to its hygienic and non-toxic properties.

Water absorption is below 0.01% in 24 hours, so the sheet keeps its dimensions and appearance in wet conditions instead of swelling or deforming.

With a density of 0.91-0.95 g/cm³, PP sheet is about 90% the density of water, far lighter than PVC board or steel plate, and it is 100% recyclable at end of life.
Precision Extrusion — One Consistent Solid Sheet from Edge to Edge
As a PP sheet supplier, our solid PP sheets are extruded on lines built around a multi-zone heating system with temperature control accurate to ±1°C, so the melt is heated evenly and the board comes out free of bubbles and black spots. A T-die with a coat-hanger flow channel compensates for edge-thickening, and synchronised twin-roll haul-off keeps the thickness even as the sheet moves forward.
We run an online laser thickness gauge that monitors every metre in real time and rejects any sheet outside tolerance, holding the finished solid PP board to ±0.05mm across the full width. Roll-temperature control switches between a glossy and a matte face on the same line, and we extrude from 100% virgin PP with imported masterbatch — no calcium-carbonate filler — so the homogeneous sheet welds watertight without leaching.

Full Thickness Range, Full Processing Service, Consistent Quality
We can produce PP sheet from 0.5 mm to 100 mm thickness, you can buy the full thickness range from one factory instead of splitting the order between a thin-PP sheet factory and a thick-plate supplier.
We can offer cutting to size, CNC machining, chamfering, pre-drilling, bending, butt welding, thermoforming and assembly all run under our own factory, so the part you receive is finished to one quality standard instead of being re-handled by a third party.
Thickness and flatness are held batch to batch — which keeps weld lines tight and dimensions repeatable order after order.Thickness and flatness are held batch to batch — which keeps weld lines tight and dimensions repeatable order after order.

Cases of Our PP plastic sheet
Polypropylene plastic sheets have several application. Some of our cases are as follows:

A chemical equipment manufacturer needed corrosion-resistant PP sheet to build storage tanks for diluted hydrochloric acid. We supplied 8mm solid PP sheet in bulk, cut to their specified panel sizes with matching PP welding rod. The homogeneous sheet welded cleanly on their production line and, at a density of 0.91 g/cm3, the finished tanks weighed far less than steel equivalents, which cut their freight and handling costs. They have reordered the same spec across multiple tank projects.

A food-equipment builder needed a non-toxic, washable sheet for prep-station tops in seafood plants. We supplied 6mm food-grade PP sheet, smooth-faced, cut and chamfered to their bench drawings in production batches. The sheet does not absorb water and needs no coating, so their assemblers weld tops, upstands, and drain channels into one seamless surface with no bacteria traps. They now spec our PP sheet on every new line.

Testimonials
Corrugated PP sheet, also called correx board or fluted plastic sheet, has a twin-wall hollow core that makes it far lighter and more economical, and is used for packaging, signage, and floor protection. Choose solid PP sheet when you need to weld a tank, machine a valve part, or line a chemical bath; choose PP corrugated board when you need a light, printable, reusable panel.
For solid PP sheet, the weight follows directly from the density and the volume, so ask for the density in g/cm³ and the size. Our standard density is 0.91 to 0.95 g/cm³. As a reference, a 1220 x 2440mm sheet at 5mm weighs about 13.5kg. Because the material is homogeneous, the weight is fully predictable from the dimensions, but sheet flatness and thickness tolerance still matter for welding, so check the thickness tolerance before ordering.
Three resin grades are available. PPH is the homopolymer grade, stiffer and lower cost. PPB is the block copolymer grade, chosen for impact and low-temperature performance. PPR is the random copolymer grade, for toughness and weldability. Natural, grey, white, black, and blue are standard colors, and custom colors can be matched to RAL or Pantone. The surface can be smooth or textured, with eight texture patterns for you to choose from; contact us for detailed pictures of the texture!
The melting point is 154-170°C, and the Vicat softening temperature is 140-150°C. Standard PP sheet is rated for continuous use up to 100°C and short-term exposure to 110-120°C, so it handles hot liquids and hot food processing equipment. It resists acids, alkalis, salts, and most organic solvents, but it is attacked by strong oxidizing acids such as concentrated nitric acid and by aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene. Always check the chemical compatibility chart against your actual media.

The Advantages and Applications of Polypropylene Board
1. Key Benefits of Polypropylene Board
1.1. Lightweight Construction
Due to its density (0.90-0.91 g/cm³), PP board is less heavy than rigid PVC (with density 1.38–1.45 g/cm³). You may make your product lighter by using PP board for your particular application, such as protective panels, equipment covers, and industrial partitions.
1.2. Excellent Chemical Resistance
Polypropylene board resists many acids, bases, and salts. It is applicable in labs, water treatment and chemical processing industries. You have to check chemical compatibility, concentration, and temperature of operation before selecting your material.
1.3. Low Moisture Absorption
PP board is water resistant because it does not absorb moisture easily, and hence can be used in situations that are wet or where washing is frequent. You can use PP board to produce protective sheets, industrial containers, and packing boxes.
1.4. Durability and Fabrication Flexibility
Solid PP board is an advantageous material that combines properties of stiffness, strength and flexibility.
The tensile strength of different grades of your material varies within the range of about 25 to 40 MPa depending on your particular grade and testing conditions.
PP board is easy to cut, drill, machine, thermoform, or weld as per your requirements. If you want to print on it or glue it, then you have an option of using either corona treatment or adhesive.
1.5. Heat Resistance
Polypropylene is thermally resistant, with a melting point of 160–165°C. But you should find out the maximum operating temperature of the material because heat can cause loss of rigidity and stability of the product. You should also take into account thermal expansion in the design of parts requiring accurate dimensions.
2. Common Applications of Polypropylene Board
2.1. Chemical Processing and Water Treatment
Chemical processing is among the best proven applications for solid PP sheets.
You can use PP boards to produce chemical tanks, tank linings, ducts, scrubbers, and other fluid-handling parts.
These properties of the material qualify it for use in various industrial settings.
If you are supplying chemical-processing firms, make sure the chosen PP grade is suited to the chemicals and temperatures involved.
2.2. Industrial Equipment and Manufacturing
You can use PP boards for machinery covers, machine guards, protective panels, and custom-made parts in Manufacturing companies.
Its relatively light weight can help you for easier handling and installation compared to some heavier materials.
For instance, your customers can use PP panels that have been fabricated for protection of the equipment in areas where moisture or some chemicals are present.
The thickness needed will depend on the size of your panels, the method of installation, and other factors.
2.3. Food Processing and Hygiene-Related Applications
You can use food grade polypropylene for food processing machines, work surfaces, protective screens and parts that need to be cleaned regularly.
Low moisture absorption and high resistance to numerous detergents of such plastic can be an asset for appropriate application.
But not all PP sheets are approved for food contact.
If your clients need food contact material, check the specific grade of resin, additives, production method and regulations in the final destination.
2.4. Laboratory Equipment
You can use solid polypropylene sheets in laboratories to make some of your surfaces, equipment enclosures, chemical-resistant partitions, and storage items.
Polypropylene sheets may also be connected by welding to form fabricated items.
You will need to think about chemical resistance, operating temperature range, cleaning ability, and expected life of the material.
3. Polypropylene vs. Other Plastic Boards
Selecting PP, PVC, HDPE, or ABS comes down to your needs. There isn’t one material that is best for all purposes.
| Property | Polypropylene (PP) | Rigid PVC | HDPE | ABS |
| Average density | 0.90-0.91 g/cm³ | 1.38-1.45 g/cm³ | 0.94-0.97 g/cm³ | 1.02-1.08 g/cm³ |

4. Frequently Asked Questions
Q1:Is your PP board toxic when burned?
You will see that burning PP board mainly produces water vapor and carbon dioxide. Since it does not contain chlorine like PVC, there is no risk of emitting very toxic hydrochloric acid gas in your workplace.
Q2:What makes PP corrugated cheaper than solid PP sheets?
The manufacturing cost of your sheets reduces because of the hollow construction that uses less material. Your factory cost is $1.35-$3.00/kg for corrugated and $2.50-$4.50/kg for solid sheets. Go for solid if rigidity is important for your project.
Q3:Is your PP board safe for drinking water?
Yes, you can use certified food-grade sheets safely for your potable drinking water systems. Since your board does not contain any heavy metals or toxic plasticizers, it will not pollute your water source or change its taste at all.
Q4:How do you manage high-pressure washing on your PP board?
It is safe for you to pressure wash it because of its hard surface that is resistant to high kinetic energy. Your industrial wash bays and farming crates will be cleaned easily without being damaged.
Q5:Does your PP board get damaged by chlorine?
Yes, but you have to be careful since consistent exposure to a high concentration of chlorine leads to deterioration of the polypropylene board. Although your board is able to withstand splashes, soaking your board in bleach will eventually result in oxidation and brittleness.
Q6:Are you able to get clear PP boards?
No, you cannot obtain 100% clear sheets since polypropylene is inherently semi-crystalline. Hence, your unpigmented boards will always remain translucent and have a milky white color. Therefore, you need to select polycarbonate or acrylic for complete optical transparency.
5. Conclusion
Polypropylene is a very useful and flexible plastic sheet that you caan use in many industries. PP has unique properties in relation to other types of plastic boards such as PVC, HDPE, and ABS. It is light weight, chemically resistant, and performs well under heat. You can select the right plastic board depending on the evaluation of your requirements.
