Strict control of the thickness tolerance of 4mm
The thickness detection used in the PP corrugated sheet extruder from Purepack is able to check the thickness of the sheet every ten seconds. The tolerance for 4 mm board thickness is maintained within a range of ±0.05mm, higher than the industrial standard.
When you receive the sheets for 4mm corrugated plastic signs, there will be no need to change the printer settings, and you can use them directly with a good printing effect.

The 4 mm corrugated plastic signs have a mass in the range of 500 – 800 GSM. The thickness affects stiffness, while the GSM determines the weight and cost. 4 mm corrugated plastic signs with 500 GSM are about 20% lighter than those with 600 GSM.
The extrusion temperature of 4 mm corrugated plastic sheets ranges from 180 – 220°C. The extrusion temperature has an impact on shrinkage ratio, surface glossiness, and corona treatment effectiveness.
The shrinkage rate of a standard 4 mm polypropylene (PP) corrugated sheet is 0.5%. The shrinkage rate leads to changes in dimensions at the cooling stage of the extrusion process. If the shrinkage rate exceeds about 1%, then bending will occur, especially in large sheets like 4×8 corrugated plastic sheets.
